Chlorine is available in market for using in water treatment plant as a liquid form, powder form, granular form, tablet form or gaseous form. In Water treatment plant Chlorine kills Bacteria and some micro organism . Free chlorine in the drinking water treatment plant maintaining 0.2- 0.5 ppm. Chlorine can use pretreatment and post treatment in reverse osmosis plant. Chlorine is a cheapest disinfectant also very effective so most of the water treatment plant system designing with chlorine disinfection.
